From June 30, 2025, Ghana will begin issuing Forest Law Enforcement, Governance and Trade (FLEGT) licenses, becoming the 1st African country and 2nd globally to do so.

This milestone promotes legal timber trade, combats illegal logging, and ensures good forest governance.
