Ambassador Mohammed-Seid Mantai, Governor of the Southern Red Sea Region, conducted meetings with residents of Tio and Ayumen in Araeta sub-zone, focusing on the implementation of development programs and the utilization of social service institutions.
Providing a briefing on the development policy of the Eritrean Government, Ambassador Mohammed-Seid said that efforts are being exerted to expand social service institutions with a view to providing equitable services to the public. He also called on the residents to strengthen their participation in community-level efforts to enhance the utilization of social service institutions.
At the meetings, heads of education, health, and the National Union of Eritrean Youth and Students provided briefings on the activities they had implemented, as well as the measures taken to address shortcomings.
The participants conducted extensive discussions on the issues raised at the meetings and adopted various recommendations.
Ambassador Mohammed-Seid also visited educational and health facilities in the villages of Hamarti, Igroli, Ferer, and Ayumen, as well as the potable water project in Ayumen, and was provided with briefings on the current situation of the institutions.
